With our Online Editor you can write and edit your articles directly on Triond. The Online Editor's friendly layout is easy to use. Instead of uploading a file, just type your work online and add pictures, video, and links with a few clicks. Hit “Submit” when you are done, and the system automatically sends your work to the Triond Editorial Team. When your article has been published, you'll be able to edit it without resubmitting a new file to fix – your article is saved on Triond's system!
Sign into Triond and click on the “Submit” tab at the top of the page. Select “Online Editor,” it's next to the “Submit File” tab. Using the Online Editor is simple, here's how:
You will receive an email from the Triond Editorial Team when your article has been published.
The Online Editor is under the “Submit” tab at the top of the page when you log on to Triond.
You can use the Online Editor every time you wish to submit a new article to Triond, or to fix older articles that you've submitted using the Online Editor. You can also use the Online Editor to fix articles you have uploaded previously, using the "Submit Article" link to publish.
Yes! Your articles are still reviewed by an editor for content, clarity and readability.
If you are a new user, the Online Editor is your default submission method . If you are a veteran user, the “Submit File” is your default submission method. To change your default method, click on “Account” and scroll down to the drop-down box “Default Submission Settings” under Optional Details.
At the top of the “Article Body” box, you will see several buttons.
These buttons are similar to the functions of your word processing software, allowing you to change the style of the text. You can bold, italicize, underline, and strike through text. You can also add special characters (the Omega button). Make bulleted or number lists, indent your text, and align paragraphs left, right, center or justified.
Yes! Open the Word document from which you wish to paste text, highlight the text and select copy (Ctrl+C). Return to the Online Editor in Triond, and find the button called “Paste from Microsoft Word” in the “Article Body” section. It is important to use this button to paste from Microsoft Word in order to maintain the proper formatting for our system.
Type the text that you would like to link to another website (the text does not have to be the URL of the link). Select that text by highlighting it with your mouse, and click on the “Insert/edit link” button.
A new small window will pop-up asking you to enter the Link URL, select a Target window, and Title the link.
The Link URL is what you type into your browser's address bar, www.Triond.com, for example. To select a Target window, choose either “Open link in the same window” or “Open link in a new window.” Lastly, give your link a title, this title will show up when someone's mouse rolls over the link. Hit “Update” and your link will now be set in your article.
To remove a link, select your linked text by highlighting it and click the “Unlink” button. Your text will now be unlinked.
Click the “Insert Image” button.
You can add an image from your computer (personal photos, designs, screen shots, et al.) or you can paste the URL of a photo located on a website.
Your photo will load automatically, so please be patient as it is loaded.
To embed a video, click on the “Embed a YouTube video” button.
Paste either the URL of the video (begins with “http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=”) or the embed link (looks like “” but much longer) into the form.
Click “Embed Video.” You will not see the video box in your article, only a code that tells our system where to locate the video online.
At this time you can only embed videos from YouTube.
Triond presents your content in the manner that is the most appealing to readers. We may reformat your article so that it has the greatest chance of succeeding when it is published online.
Click on the “Preview”button in the “Article Text” box.
It is the last button on the bottom row. A new window will pop open with your formated article.
