Your profile page has always been the place that showcases your creativity and hard work. And now, your profile page is more customizable than ever. Columns are adjustable, colors are changeable, and there are even widgets that you place wherever you like on the page. After all, it's your profile page, it reflects your personality and creativity, so you should have as much control over it as possible.

Now, when you can build a truly unique profile page, it really becomes personal. Your profile page becomes your blog, your portfolio, your first point of contact, the inventory of your creative works -- your online creative presence -- all in one central place. And the best thing is you decide how others experience it.

Sounds Great, So How Do I Change My Profile Page?

To start editing your profile page, click the button that reads "Configure your profile page" on the Dashboard. You will then enter your profile page in edit mode, and see three tabs at the top left; Widgets, Skins, and Layouts. This is the profile page editing panel, with which you can begin personalizing your profile.

What are Widgets?

Widgets are content boxes that you can add or remove from your profile page. All of the content boxes you are familiar with have been transformed into movable widgets. The following widgets are currently available:

• Introduction - your profile picture and the description you entered about yourself
• Portfolio - a tabbed box that shows your content items of all types
• Friends - a rundown of your friends here on Triond
• Tag Cloud - your articles popular tags in a cloud format
• My Articles - a list of your published articles to date, with an option to display an excerpt of each
• My Photos - a grid of your published photos
• My Video - a list of the videos you have uploaded
• My Audio - all the audio tracks you've created and shared
• Latest Comments - recent comments by friends, fans, and guests on your work
• Subscribe to Feed - a link for others to subscribe to your personal RSS feed

To add a widget to your profile, just click on the "Widgets" tab at the top left of the page. Select the widget you'd like to add to your profile, and drag it onto your profile by clicking and holding the mouse button while you move it. If you don't like the location, that's ok, just click and drag it to a new location, using the drag control on the top right of the widget.

Some widgets are also configurable, for example, you can choose whether or not to show excerpts of your articles. If a widget can be configured, use the toolbox control of the widget to open the configuration box, and choose your desired configuration.

How Do I Select a Skin for My Profile?

You can currently choose from 10 different color themes for your profile. To change your profile's color theme, click on the "Skins" tab at the top left of the page, then select your favorite skin by clicking it.

Great Columns and We're Not Even in Rome...

Have some fun with your profile's layout by selecting between two or three columns to display. Remember, you can drag and drop the widgets into each column easily, to make your page appear exactly like you want it to.

Save Yourself and See the Difference!

Whether you are making minor tweaks or major changes to your layout, always remember to hit the "save" button when you're done changing. To see how your profile will look to visitors, just click on the button called "View Mode" right next to the "Save" button. To return to making changes, click on "Edit Mode."

Log in and edit your profile page! You can also share it with your friends and family, send it to your coworkers and link to your profile page URL where appropriate. It's your online creative presence, and you're right to be proud of it.

Replace any spaces in your pen name with the plus (+) sign and you're good to go.
