How are my earnings calculated?

Your earnings are equivalent to 50 percent of the net revenue generated by advertising that appears on the pages alongside your content. The Triond income for each content item is calculated as follows:

Earnings = page views * eRPM / 1000

eRPM

eRPM stands for effective-revenues-per-millennium, or, more simply, the amount of revenue generated for each 1,000 page views. The eRPM is mainly affected by the media type and the content topic. For example, articles will usually generate a higher eRPM than photos because they provide a more relevant framework for contextual advertising. Similarly, articles about cell phones will produce a higher eRPM than articles about fencing, since they can be matched with more attractive and expensive ads.

eRPM is a figure based on the attractiveness of the topic and the media type; it cannot be influenced by you. Typically, the range of eRPM can be anywhere from $0.5-$10.0. The advertising expertise of Triond enables most content channels to generate higher eRPM compared to blogs.

Page Views (Traffic)

The amount of income generated by your content items is directly related to the number of page views they generate. It is important to realize that traffic is a much more significant factor in determining the overall revenues of an item than eRPM since differences in the amount of traffic can be huge. Each of your items can generate as little as one page view or as many as 1,000,000 page views, depending on its popularity.

Traffic is undeniably the "name of the game" and Triond provides your content with the best infrastructure for generating a lot of traffic. By having your content items published and distributed by Triond (instead of in a blog or elsewhere), they will get a lot more traffic. Additionally, you can take a few simple actions to further increase traffic and page views, thereby increasing your earnings.
